UL Listed Materials

EFI Polymers has several materials that are Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL) Recognized. These materials are listed on their corresponding pages on the UL website, and are tested quarterly to ensure there are no material changes. Our materials are recognized under two different UL categories:

  • UL 1446: Standard of safety systems for insulating materials. This Standard tests different components of an electrical system’s insulation and tests them for thermal stability. Materials can be divided further into temperature classes, separated by letter. Click here for a link to our file on the UL website.
  • UL 94: Standard for safety of Flammability of Plastic Materials for Devices, measures a materials’ ability to resist catching fire in the presence of an open flame. Ranks from HB at the lowest, to 5VA at the highest resistance to flammability. Click here for a link to our file on the UL website.
